Requirements
for SDS
- Acceptance Letter: From
a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada.
- Language Proficiency: Pass
an English or French language test.
- Financial Proof: Full payment of
first-year tuition and a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a
Canadian bank.
- Medical Exam: If applicable.
- Police Certificate: To
show no criminal record.
- Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL): If applicable.
- Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ): If studying in Quebec.
How to
Apply
- Gather Documents:
Acceptance letter, proof of tuition payment, GIC, language test results,
medical exam, and police certificate.
- Apply Online: Through the
Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website.
- Track Your Application: Use
the SDS tracker on the IRCC website.
After You
Apply
- If Approved: Receive a letter of
introduction and an electronic travel authorization (eTA) or visitor visa.
Present these upon arrival in Canada.
- If Refused: Appeal or reapply
with updated information.
