This week, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program
(BCPNP) and Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held important
immigration draws. At the same time, Alberta's Advantage Immigration Program
(AAIP) shared updates on how they are processing their immigration
applications.
Provincial Immigration Draws: British Columbia
and Manitoba
Both British Columbia and Manitoba invited candidates based
on their work experience, education, and involvement in specific recruitment
initiatives.

On October 2, British Columbia held two separate draws:

Out of the total 348 candidates invited, 56 had a valid
Express Entry profile and a job seeker validation code.
Alberta Immigration Program Updates
Alberta provided updates on the number of immigration
nominations issued and the remaining spots for 2024. They also gave insights
into which streams are being processed and their current status. Notably,
Alberta is focusing on applications from candidates whose work permits expire
in 2024 under a temporary public policy, allowing for potential work permit
extensions.
