feature image

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued another round of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates in the Express Entry pool. In this draw, 725 candidates who are part of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) received ITAs, making them eligible to apply for Canadian permanent residence. To qualify, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 667. Additionally, they had to have created their Express Entry profile before 6:25 p.m. Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on June 5, 2024.

Express Entry’s Ongoing Activity in 2025

This draw is the first one for the month of March and follows several others that took place in February. Last month saw a mix of draws, including one that focused on French-language proficiency, two PNP-specific draws, and two draws aimed at Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. Overall, February was a very active month for the Express Entry system, with IRCC issuing more than 11,000 ITAs since the start of the month.

So far in 2025, IRCC has primarily focused on PNP and CEC candidates. While category-based selection draws have been less common this year, IRCC has been steadily inviting individuals who fit these two groups, underscoring the government’s commitment to bringing in highly skilled immigrants who can meet Canada’s labor market needs.
