On April 8, Newfoundland and Labrador began
sending out its first invitations through the new Expression of Interest
(EOI) system. This online EOI process started in February 2025,
replacing the old approach where foreign nationals could apply directly to the
province’s permanent residency (PR) pathways.

Those invited under the NLPNP can now apply for a
provincial nomination, while those invited under the AIP can pursue
endorsement from the province.
