On April 17, 2025, Prince Edward Island (PEI) held its fourth Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of the year. A total of 168 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to individuals currently living and working in PEI under the Labour Impact and Express Entry categories.

Priority for Workers Already in PEI

This draw focused on candidates who are:

  • Living and working in PEI for at least one year
  • Employed in high-demand sectors like healthcare, trades, and manufacturing
  • Recent international graduates from PEI institutions such as:

    • University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI)
    • Holland College
    • College of the Island

The PEI Office of Immigration is currently prioritizing applicants who already contribute to the province’s economy and are more likely to stay long-term.

PEI Labour Impact Category – Who Is Eligible?

The Labour Impact Category includes three streams:

  • Skilled Worker Stream
  • Critical Worker Stream

  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)

If you're on a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) or a Spousal Open Work Permit tied to studies from outside PEI, you must also:

  • Have at least 9 months of continuous work experience with a PEI employer
  • Hold at least 4 months of validity on your work permit at the time of submitting your Expression of Interest (EOI)

Note: EOIs are valid for six months and only one active profile is allowed at a time.

PEI PNP Draw Stats So Far in 2025
