Who Applies to Express Entry?

Every year, skilled workers from over 100 countries submit their profiles through Express Entry. Canada does not select candidates based on nationality. Instead, the country evaluates applicants using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which is based on:

  • Age
  • Education
  • Official language proficiency
  • Work experience
  • Additional human capital factors

This system helps Canada attract skilled individuals who are most likely to succeed in the Canadian job market.

Final Thoughts

With its latest PNP-focused draw, Canada continues to prioritize candidates with strong ties to provinces and territories. If you are part of a PNP or planning to apply through Express Entry, it is essential to monitor CRS scores and draw trends throughout 2025.
