Express Entry Processing Timelines

  • Profile Validity: Once created, an Express Entry profile stays active for 12 months. If a candidate doesn’t receive an ITA within that time, they can resubmit a new profile, provided they still meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Tie-Breaking Rule: When multiple candidates have the same CRS score, IRCC uses the date and time the profile was submitted to decide who gets selected.
  • Application Submission: After receiving an ITA, candidates have 60 days to submit a complete PR application.
  • Processing Time: IRCC aims to process complete PR applications within six months from the date of submission.

If you’re a healthcare or social services professional looking to immigrate to Canada, this targeted draw may offer a strong opportunity to apply for permanent residence. Consider reviewing your Express Entry profile and CRS score to ensure you’re competitive for future draws.
