Out of these:

  • 7,972 nominations (99%) were under the Skills Immigration (SI) category

Major Program Changes in 2024

  1. Closure of IG and IPG Streams
In March 2024, BC PNP announced it would close the International Graduate (IG) and International Post-Graduate (IPG) streams. These were set to be replaced by three new student-specific streams—Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate—but these have been delayed due to a smaller 2025 allocation.
  2. Entrepreneur Regional Pilot Becomes Permanent
The Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Stream, first introduced as a pilot, was made a permanent part of the BC PNP in May 2024.

What This Means for You

The BC PNP continues to prioritize workers with in-demand skills and job offers in B.C., while also expanding support for entrepreneurs in smaller communities. If you're looking to immigrate through the BC PNP, this report is a useful guide to understand which streams are active and what profiles are currently being prioritized.
