Express Entry Pool Update: July 2025 Overview

feature image

In June 2025, Canada saw a noticeable increase in activity within its Express Entry system. A total of 7,405 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency were issued over six separate draws—more than the combined totals from April and May. This marked the highest number of draws in a single month so far in 2025.

What Happened in June?

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted six Express Entry draws in June under different categories. These included:

  • Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
  • Healthcare and social services occupations (category-based selection)

This aligns with IRCC’s earlier announcement that healthcare and social services occupations would be a priority category for Express Entry in 2025.

Final Thoughts

If you are in the Express Entry pool or planning to enter soon, tracking the monthly draw trends and CRS score distributions is essential. June’s increase in draws and ITAs may indicate a more active second half of the year—but competitiveness remains high, especially for certain draw types.
