IRCC Conducts First Express Entry Draw of August 2025
On August 6, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and
Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held its first Express Entry draw of the
month. This round was targeted specifically at candidates in the Provincial
Nominee Program (PNP).
In this draw, 225 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were
issued to eligible Express Entry candidates.
To be considered, candidates needed:
- A
minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 739
- To
have created their Express Entry profile before April 23, 2025, at 6:35
a.m. UTC

As of August 6, 2025, IRCC has issued 49,628 ITAs under
the Express Entry system. The draws have focused on specific categories
including PNP, Canadian Experience Class (CEC), French-language proficiency,
and priority occupations such as healthcare, education, and social
services.

Since June 10, 2025, IRCC has followed a consistent pattern of
alternating draws between PNP and CEC categories every two weeks. In
addition, draws targeting the healthcare and social services category
have been held monthly in May, June, and July.
What This Means for Express Entry Candidates
The latest draw confirms that IRCC continues to
prioritize PNP candidates, while also issuing regular invitations to CEC
applicants and those in key occupational categories.

receiving an ITA remain high—thanks to the 600 additional CRS points
that come with the nomination.
