Growing Opportunities for French-Speaking Candidates
This draw marks the largest Express Entry round since
September 4, when IRCC also invited 4,500 French-speaking candidates.
So far in 2025, French-language draws have been among
the largest, including the record-breaking 7,500 invitations issued
on March 21.
French-speaking candidates continue to be a top priority
under Canada’s immigration strategy. As of this latest draw, 30,000
invitations have been issued to French-proficient applicants this year —
more than any other category.
IRCC has announced plans to increase Francophone
immigration targets outside Quebec in the coming year. This means
French-language draws are expected to remain frequent and possibly larger.

What This Means for Candidates
IRCC’s consistent focus on French-speaking candidates
reflects Canada’s commitment to strengthening Francophone communities outside
Quebec.
If you are fluent in French, this is an ideal time to
create or update your Express Entry profile. With upcoming increases in
Francophone immigration targets, your chances of receiving an invitation may
improve in the coming months.
Express Entry continues to remain one of the most
competitive yet rewarding pathways to Canadian permanent residence, and staying
updated on these draw trends can help candidates plan better for future
opportunities.
