New Brunswick’s PNP Activity in 2025
So far in 2025, New Brunswick has issued 3,589
invitations to apply for provincial nomination.
The province originally received 1,500 nomination spots
for 2025 but successfully negotiated an additional 1,500 spots in June,
bringing its total allocation to 3,000 nominations.
Since not all invited candidates proceed to nomination (due
to withdrawals or ineligibility), the number of invitations issued is typically
higher than the number of available nominations.
Pathway to Permanent Residence
After receiving an invitation to apply, candidates
must submit a full application to the provincial government. Once approved, New
Brunswick issues a nomination certificate that allows the candidate to
apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent
residence (PR).
In Summary:
New Brunswick continues to be proactive in attracting and retaining skilled
talent. By conducting targeted draws through both Express Entry and Skilled
Worker streams, the province is addressing key labour shortages in health care,
education, and construction — while offering faster pathways to permanent
residency for those already contributing to its workforce.
