Alberta conducted four major provincial immigration draws
between October 23 and October 29 through the Alberta Advantage Immigration
Program (AAIP). Together, these draws invited more than 1,100 candidates across
various streams and pathways.
These draws focused on key labour market needs in the
province, including construction, law enforcement, and health care.

Understanding the Streams
Alberta Opportunity Stream
This stream issued the largest number of invitations in this round (900). It is
meant for temporary foreign workers who are working full-time in Alberta and
have a qualifying full-time job offer from an eligible employer.
Dedicated Health Care Pathway
This pathway supports employers in filling health care roles. It targets
applicants with job offers in eligible health care occupations.
Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement
Pathway
This pathway is designed for Express Entry candidates who have job offers from
police services belonging to the Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police. It
was created to support law enforcement recruitment needs in the province.
Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors
(Construction)
This stream focuses on construction-related occupations. It targets Express
Entry candidates who listed a construction occupation as their primary
occupation and may also have a job offer in Alberta.
Provincial Nomination Updates
The AAIP received 4,875 nomination spaces at the beginning
of 2025. In September, Alberta was granted an additional increase, bringing the
total nomination allocation to 6,603.
These nomination spaces have been distributed across
multiple streams to support Alberta’s labour needs.
As of November 5, Alberta has issued 5,137 nominations,
leaving 1,466 remaining for the year.
