New Brunswick has resumed provincial nomination invitations after a short pause. The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) held its first draw since November 16, issuing new invitations on December 9, 2025.
In this round, the province issued a total of 110 invitations through two immigration streams: the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream and the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream.
Both invitation rounds used a cut-off date of December 8, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time. The draws specifically targeted Francophone candidates across all occupational sectors. All applications linked to these invitations will be processed in 2026.
Overview of the December 9 NBPNP Draw
Invitations were issued across two streams and three pathways. Most invitations were issued under the Skilled Worker Stream.
New Brunswick Express Entry Stream – Employment in New Brunswick: 8 invitations
New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream – New Brunswick Experience and New Brunswick Graduates: 102 invitations
This draw clearly shows New Brunswick’s continued focus on candidates who are already living, studying, or working in the province, particularly French-speaking applicants.
Eligibility Requirements for the Selected Pathways
Express Entry Stream – Employment in New Brunswick
To receive an invitation under this pathway, candidates must have an active Express Entry profile. They must have lived in New Brunswick for at least 12 months and be working full-time in a non-seasonal job at TEER level 0, 1, 2, or 3 for an eligible New Brunswick employer.
In addition, candidates must have completed 12 consecutive months of authorized full-time work in New Brunswick in a TEER 0–3 occupation. Minimum requirements also apply, including a language level of at least CLB 7 and a minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
Skilled Worker Stream – New Brunswick Experience Pathway

They must have at least six months of full-time work experience with the supporting employer and must have lived in New Brunswick for at least six months before submitting their expression of interest.
Skilled Worker Stream – New Brunswick Graduates Pathway
This pathway is designed for recent graduates of New Brunswick institutions. Candidates must have completed a Post-Graduation Work Permit–eligible program at a Designated Learning Institution located in New Brunswick. They must also be working full-time in a non-seasonal job for an eligible New Brunswick employer or have accepted a valid job offer for such a position.
Important Note for Applicants
Under all streams and pathways included in this draw, candidates working in certain occupations are not eligible to receive invitations. Applicants are advised to review occupation-specific restrictions before submitting an expression of interest.
What This Means for Candidates
This draw confirms that New Brunswick continues to prioritize Francophone candidates and individuals with strong ties to the province through local education or employment. Candidates who are already living and working in New Brunswick, especially those who speak French, are currently in a strong position for provincial nomination.
