Manitoba PNP Invites 2,146 Candidates in Largest Draw Since September 2025

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, or MPNP, issued 2,146 Letters of Advice to Apply for provincial nomination on July 16, 2026.

The invitations were issued to international graduates, skilled workers in Manitoba and overseas, French-speaking candidates, healthcare professionals, and candidates selected through strategic recruitment initiatives.

This was Manitoba’s 14th provincial immigration draw of 2026 and the largest MPNP selection round conducted since September 2025.

Manitoba PNP Draw Results for July 16, 2026

The province distributed invitations under the following MPNP streams and selection categories:

Approximately 92.4% of all invitations issued in this draw went to candidates selected under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway.

Among the candidates invited, 825 reported having a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code in their Expression of Interest profile.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba Pathway

Manitoba issued a total of 1,982 invitations under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway.

Candidates were selected under three categories:

1. Manitoba Post-Secondary Graduates

The province issued 1,874 invitations to candidates who completed post-secondary education in Manitoba.

To qualify under this category, candidates were required to:

• Indicate in their Expression of Interest profile that they or their spouse graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary institution; and
• Have an EOI score of at least 825.
  
  

This was the largest selection category in the draw and represented approximately 94.6% of invitations issued under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway.

Candidates applying for provincial nomination must provide proof that they completed their studies in Manitoba. Supporting documents may include a diploma and academic transcripts.

2. Francophone Candidates

Manitoba issued 84 invitations to French-speaking candidates.

To be considered under this category, candidates needed to confirm in their EOI profile that:

• Their preferred language of communication with the MPNP was French; and
• They had valid French language test results.
  
  

This selection reflects Manitoba’s continued efforts to support the growth of Francophone communities in the province.

3. Healthcare Occupation Selection

The province issued 24 invitations through an occupation-specific selection for healthcare professionals.

Candidates were considered if they were currently working in one of the following National Occupational Classification codes:

• NOC 31102: General practitioners and family physicians
• NOC 31100: Specialists in clinical and laboratory medicine
• NOC 31101: Specialists in surgery
  
  

The MPNP stated that candidates working in regulated occupations must be fully licensed to work in Manitoba.

A provincial nomination application may be refused if the applicant is not currently working in the regulated occupation or cannot prove that the required licensing process has been completed.

Skilled Worker Stream: Manitoba and Overseas

A total of 86 invitations were issued under the Skilled Worker Stream to candidates in Manitoba and overseas.

Candidates were considered through the following pathways:

• Skilled Worker in Manitoba
• Skilled Worker Overseas
  
  

Eligibility was limited to candidates whose EOI profiles showed that they had received a direct invitation through a recruitment mission or under the expired Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Candidates.

The invitations were distributed across the following strategic recruitment initiatives:

The Ethnocultural Communities initiative represented the largest share of recruitment mission invitations, accounting for approximately 37.2% of the total.

International Education Stream

Manitoba issued 78 invitations under the Graduate Internship Pathway of the International Education Stream.

Candidates selected under this pathway must provide documents showing that they meet the program requirements.

These requirements include:

• Completing a master’s or doctoral degree in Manitoba within the last three years;
• Completing a Mitacs Elevate or Accelerate internship, including the Accelerate Entrepreneur program, with an eligible Manitoba industry or research organization; and
• Having language ability equal to Canadian Language Benchmark level 7 or higher.
  
  

Candidates who cannot provide sufficient evidence of meeting these requirements may not qualify for provincial nomination.

Why Some Eligible Candidates May Not Have Received an Invitation

The MPNP explained that some candidates who appeared to meet the draw criteria may not have received a Letter of Advice to Apply.

This may have happened if:

• The candidate listed an approved English or French language test but entered a missing or invalid test identification number;
• The candidate’s language test results had expired by the date of the draw; or
• The candidate claimed to have received an invitation through a strategic recruitment initiative but did not provide a valid invitation number.
  
  

Candidates should regularly review their EOI profiles and ensure that all language test details, identification numbers, and recruitment invitation information are correct and valid.

What This Manitoba PNP Draw Means for Candidates

The July 16 draw shows that Manitoba continues to prioritize candidates who already have strong connections to the province.

The largest number of invitations went to candidates who completed post-secondary education in Manitoba. The province also targeted French-speaking applicants, licensed healthcare professionals, international graduates with advanced degrees, and candidates recruited through Manitoba’s strategic initiatives.

Candidates interested in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program should keep their EOI profiles accurate and updated. They should also collect supporting documents early, including academic records, language test results, employment documents, licensing evidence, and recruitment invitation details.

Receiving an LAA allows a candidate to submit an application for provincial nomination. However, an invitation does not guarantee approval. Applicants must still prove that they meet all applicable MPNP requirements.
