Alberta Gets 200 More PNP Nomination Spaces for 2026

Alberta has received approval from the federal government to nominate 200 additional workers for permanent residence in 2026 through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).

With this increase, Alberta’s total provincial nomination allocation for 2026 has increased from 6,403 to 6,603 nominations.

The Government of Alberta confirmed the increase in an AAIP update published on August 10, 2026.

As of July 30, 2026, Alberta had 36,948 Worker Expressions of Interest (WEOIs) in its immigration pool.

The largest number of candidates were registered under the Alberta Opportunity Stream.
