This week, British Columbia, Quebec, and Manitoba have extended invitations to candidates for their provincial immigration programs.
British Columbia and Manitoba: PNP Draws
Both British Columbia (B.C.) and Manitoba issued
invitations/Expressions of Interest through their Provincial Nominee Program
(PNP) draws. Each province in Canada operates a PNP to select economic
immigration candidates who are likely to integrate into the local workforce.
The PNP is a collaborative effort between federal and provincial governments,
with provinces receiving annual allocations for nominations they can issue to
candidates.
Quebec's Unique Approach
Quebec operates differently from other provinces due to a
special agreement with the federal government. Instead of participating in the
PNP, Quebec has the authority to select all its economic immigrants
independently. In Quebec, candidates apply for a Certificate of Selection of
Quebec (CSQ) rather than a provincial nomination.
Benefits of Provincial Nomination
Securing a provincial nomination significantly boosts a
candidate’s chances when applying for permanent residence with Immigration
Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Provincial Immigration Results (June 1 - June

These recent provincial immigration updates reflect the
dynamic and collaborative nature of Canada's immigration system. With
opportunities across various provinces and streams, candidates can explore
multiple pathways to permanent residency in Canada.
