Manitoba and Prince Edward Island Invite Candidates for Immigration Opportunities

Both Manitoba and Prince Edward Island recently invited candidates to apply for immigration through their respective Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). These invitations aim to address labor market needs and prioritize candidates who meet specific criteria.

Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program Invitations (February 14–21)

Manitoba’s PNP (MPNP) issued invitations under two streams during this period:

  1. International Education Stream:
    This draw invited 19 candidates who met eligibility requirements and also had:
    • A master’s degree or higher
    • A Manitoba supporter who is a close relative, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and has lived in Manitoba for at least one year.
  2. Skilled Workers Overseas Stream:
    The second draw focused on candidates who had received a direct invitation from the MPNP as part of a strategic recruitment initiative.


A total of 22 invitations were sent through this stream, with the lowest-ranked candidate scoring 711 points.

In total, Manitoba issued 41 Letters of Advice to Apply. Seven of these went to candidates who had a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.

Summary of Manitoba’s Draw Results:

    • International Education Stream: 19 invitations (no minimum score)
    • Skilled Worker Overseas Stream: 22 invitations, minimum score of 711


Prince Edward Island’s Provincial Nominee Program Invitations (February 14–21)

Prince Edward Island (PEI) held a draw on February 20, inviting candidates through the Labour Impact and Express Entry pathways. A total of 87 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates working in occupations and priority sectors that are essential to PEI’s economic development.

To qualify for this draw, candidates needed to have been living and working in PEI for at least one year. The draw also prioritized international graduates from three key institutions:

  • University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI)
  • Holland College
  • Collège de l’Île


Summary of PEI’s Draw Results:

  • Labour Impact/Express Entry Stream: 87 invitations

Both Manitoba and PEI continue to use their PNPs to invite skilled individuals who can contribute to their local economies and communities.
